- To plan and implement the Institution’s Financial Policies and Procedures and ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards within the Institution.
- To ensure that the Institution’s Internal Audit and regulatory policies are being complied with
- To ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, safeguard of both physical and logical assets while complying with policies, applicable laws and regulations
- Direct and implement the internal audit policies and guidelines for the Institution
- Develop and implement effective controls for new products/processes in line with identified risks
- Plan and conduct internal audit of the Institution
- Develop standard policies and procedures that are in line with the Institution’s overall corporate objectives.
- Develop strategies to ensure that the Institution has adequate, cost effective, and well documented internal control and financial records.
- Monitor the Institution’s compliance with all relevant laws and regulations (local and International).
- Review the adequacy of controls established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, and business objectives
- Perform other functions as assigned by Head, Internal Audit International
